Tales from the Crown Pub, Part 2

The Crown Pub crew and the Gray Dogs narrowly escaped death in Kalazart by sowing discord among the warforged raiders. Together with the Gray Dogs, they escaped from the ruins and headed back to Salvation Outpost. On their way, they stumbled upon a house on a lonely hill.

The House on the Hill

Soon after arriving in the area, the Crown Pub crew were attacked by a horde of undead creatures. They took refuge inside the house and barricade themselves within. Upon discovering that the house was an undead beacon created by a necromancer, they crew found a way to dismantle the beacon, but in the meantime, the Gray Dogs escaped by themselves and took the Oracle of War with them.

On returning to Salvation, the Crown Pub crew defended the town from marauding gangs of mutants and outlaws. Next, they saved the Gray Dogs from the Ash Hounds, an evil salvage crew who tried to take hold of the Oracle of War. The crew recovered the Oracle, but the town soon came under attack by a team of assassins summoned by the device. SHERIFF, the warforged law enforcer, was killed by the leader of the assassins on the steps of the rail station, and KALLI ALRAN was taken hostage.

Using clever tactics and subterfuge, the Crown Pub crew defeated the assassins, recovered the Oracle, and saved Kalli Alran. The townspeople inaugurated one of the pub’s owners, SCAR the human monk, as the town’s new sheriff. Kalli resolved to go to Morgrave University in Sharn to learn more about the Oracle of War.

The Green Light

In his first act as Salvation’s new lawman, Scar recruited a mutated dwarf nicknamed THREE EARS as his new deputy after accompanying the dwarf on a salvage mission into the Mournland. Three Ears was part of a company of Cyran dwarves who sought to reclaim relics from their lost homeland in the ruins of Metrol, the capital of the Cyre. The dwarves and the Crown Pub crew crossed the Field of Ruin and narrowly escaped from a zombie beholder.

In Metrol, they discovered an order of warforged monks calling themselves the Landforged who were congregating around a pacifist leader, a warforged named BUILDER. Builder was caring for a young druid artificer inside a stasis pod who had dreamed of reforesting the Mournland. The adventurers awoke the druid from her slumber and together they resolved to reactivate a warforged colossus that might help them transform the barren wastes into a green and verdant land.
