Vincent Lovejoy는 91살의 착하고 순수한 엘프이다. Vincent는 일반적인 엘프들과 다른 독특한 사고방식을 가지고 있다. 그는 70살이 될 무렵에 불행히도 숲속에서 영역 다툼에서 쫒겨난 몬스터와 마주치게 되었는데 때마침 그 부근을 지나던 한 고령의 드로우가 그를 구해주었다. 그 사건이 있은 뒤 그는 자신을 도와준 드로우에게 영향을 받아 자신만의 확고한 가치관을 키워 나가게 된다. 그는 종족간의 선입견과 부정적인 감정을 버리고 평화와 화합을 추구해 나가기 위해 드워프어와 언더커먼을 공부하고 자신이 누군가의 힘이 될 수 있도록 마법을 공부하였다. 하지만, 지나치게 공부에만 몰두한 나머지 세상물정에 어둡고 타인의 말을 쉽게 신뢰한다. 다른 엘프들은 모두 그를 ‘괴짜 빈센트’라고 부르지만 놀림을 들어도 빈센트는 조용히 미소를 지으며 언젠가 저들도 자신을 이해해줄 것이라고 믿는다. 이번 모험은 빈센트의 첫 여정이다. 빈센트의 세상을 평화롭게 만들고자 하는 꿈은 이제 점차 실현되어 갈 것이다
Vincent is a 91-year-old elf with a kind and innocent heart. He is different from other elves. When he was 70 years old, he was saved from a monster by a traveling drow. Vincent was deeply affected by the drow who saved his life and developed his own unique values, casting aside feelings of discrimination against other races. Vincent desires peace between all people in the world. Towards that end, he has learned dwarven and undercommon languages, and he studies magic so that he can be of help to others when the need arises. However, his obsession with learning has left him ill equipped for the realities and deceptions of the real world. Other elves call him an eccentric, but Vincent responds to insults with a quiet smile, confident that the cynics will come around eventually. This adventure will be Vincent’s first journey. Now is the time to make his wish to bring peace around the world a reality.
