The Listening Stone is a homebrew adventure set in the world of Eberron. It was made for the Valentine’s Day TRPG event at The Dice Latte on February 10, 2019. I’d like to thank the five awesome players who participated in the adventure and created such a memorable story together.

In the fire giants’ stronghold, Strong Palm Ian is separated from his companions. He meets a group of adventurers from Waterdeep and helps them escape from captivity. Together, they rescue the other prisoners and find Harshnag the frost giant who was captured by the fire giants of Ironslag. Continue reading

The heroes encounter the fire giant lord Duke Zalto and the drow warriors from Gauntylgrym. A fearsome battle ensues, and the heroes are forced to retreat. But one of their own is captured by the fire giants, allowing Duke Zalto hold the hostage for ransom. Continue reading
Part 6. Journey to the Forge
After defeating the drow intruders, Kane makes the fateful choice to keep the elemental primordial for himself. King Bruenor, unaware of the deception, urges the heroes to pursue the drow and recover the stolen primordial. The heroes go on a quest that takes them on a long journey leading to an ancient forge. Part 5. Gauntlgrym
Traveling through perils in the air and on the earth, the Albatross Company arrives at last in the halls of the dwarven citadel of Gauntlgrym. The heroes gain an audience with King Bruenor Battlehammer to ask for his aid in the midst of the upheaval of giantkind. Their meeting is interrupted when drow intruders are reported in the citadel, trying to steal an elemental primordial from the forge. Continue reading

The heroes take flight in a newly acquired airship and head for Waterdeep, but they are challenged by a green dragon for mastery of the vessel. After narrowly defeating the creature, they safely arrive in the city and set out to perform various quests. Continue reading

The heroes find Cyrus Belview, the deformed custodian of the castle, in the wine cellar and coerce him into revealing the location of their items. After recovering their gear, they take up arms and prepare for the final battle. Ismark, wielding the Sunsword, leads the party up the steps of the North Tower where they find a glowing crystal in the living heart of the castle, guarded by creatures of the night. At the top of the spiraling steps, Strahd von Zarovich is waiting for them with Ireena in his grasp, on the verge of making her his bride.
