In Sharn the City of Towers, two half-elven bards had recently opened an inquisitives’ office. Their front door was freshly painted with the sign Eros & Dante, Inc. Inside the office, Eros was looking for quests in the latest edition of the Korranberg Chronicle while his partner, Dante, wrote entries in their book of expenses. They were both trying to concentrate on their work, but the noise made by the other members of their office was not helping.

In the far future of Eberron, the people of the world were vanishing, and the great forest that covered the continent of Khorvaire was growing dark and receding. Jackie, a warforged mystic and time traveler, had returned from the distant past. He was one of the band of brave Chrononauts who had leaped back in time by eating the fruit of the Delorean Tree. Their mission was to stop a rogue time traveler named Stephen who had gone back in time to change history.
Part 1: Scion of the Wolf
On January 3, 2018, we had our first adventure in the second season of The Branches of Time, a series of homebrew time-traveling adventures set in Eberron. This season features the shifters, one of the unique races of Eberron, and the Silver Purge, an inquisition against lycanthropy set in 832 YK. The brave chrononauts were Muthak the goliath fighter, Targaryen the dragonborn sorcerer, and Jackie the warforged mystic. This is the summary of their adventure.

In the distant future, a warforged ancient called Butler stole a fruit from the Delorean Tree and traveled back in time with a plot to change history. His scheme was thwarted by a band of brave chrononauts sent by a druid artificer named Dr. Morris, the caretaker of the Delorean Tree. However, Butler remained at large somewhere in the river of time. Dr. Morris suspected that Butler would launch another conspiracy to ignite a war between the warforged and humanity.

In the distant future, a warforged ancient known as Butler has stolen a fruit from the Delorean Tree and traveled back in time to change the history of Eberron. Dr. Morris, a druid artificer and the caretaker of the magical tree, traced the changes to the time stream. He reported that Butler’s actions posed a dangerous threat to history.

It was inspired by the South Korean short animation “Green Light”(2016) by director Kim Seongmin which features a character named Mari, a survivor of a nuclear war who tries to rebuild and plant seeds with the help of a robot soldier.
